Following the resurrection of Tony the group decided to relax, heal, and regroup for a week or so. Marcus went off to meet up with Rufus to get the hunter training the rest of the group had received. Carter, Mina, and Connie decided to work and make some money. One day Connie has not returned to the hotel. The group is getting concerned, her phone is going straight to Voicemail. Carter hacks her cell and was able to pinpoint a location. Everyone roles out to go save her.
The team arrives at an abandoned warehouse, sign outside is faded and reads J&M Scrap. Carter is suspicious that we may be going up against a djinn again and dips the silver daggers and Gator’s bat nails in the lambs blood. Carter picks the lock to the warehouse and kicks the door open. Once inside the warehouse is filled with junk and scrap. Tony enters first and flanks left, next is Marcus who flanks right, Gator goes straight down the middle. Carter, Cal and Mina follow in behind. Birds fly overhead as the team approaches Connie who is tied to a chair in a far room.
Connie sees the group an says that a djinn did in fact capture her. Tony approaches Connie and enters the room. Just then a bird flies in and transforms to the djinn. The door flies shut and the rest of the team is locked out. The djinn looks at Tony and senses that he is not human, “what are you?” Tony- “I’m not entirely sure.” djinn still assessing Tony cuts her hand and moves to Connie forcing her to drink her blood, whispers something into the amulet and places it back on Connie. The djinn turns to Tony. Meanwhile the rest of the party is desperately trying to break in to the room, they succeed. Connie yells don’t shoot as the party rushes in. The djinn touches Tony and his eyes go white, she places the second amulet on Tony. The djinn frees Connie and joins her hand with Tony’s, both their eyes glow blue. Djinn -“there will be consequences, way your actions wisely” Cal-“Do you know what’s coming?” Djinn -“yes”. Then djinn transforms to a bird and flies away.
Back at the hotel Connie pulls out the amulet which reminds the rest of us that it exists and tells us a story. Long ago in Egypt they did a ritual that locked away all psychic abilities. The reclamation of the third eye. Connie’s psychic abilities are limited because of this ritual. The djinn and her husband, that we killed, were the guardians of the amulets because they can live forever. Now Connie and Tony are the guardians. Tony pulls out his amulet, The djinn stayed alive by taking people who had very shitty lives. They gave them wonderful , happy, full, lives while draining them, so in reality they died in peace and happiness. Also the djinn said that traumatic experiences can activate powers or trigger them. Connie started having her visions after she tried to kill herself.
Cal’s observations-number of supernatural beings and encounters are on the rise. There must be a reason to lock away the power of the third eye, it was a good thing because very bad things were happening. The resurgence could mean that the seal is coming undone. The djinn has now transferred their duties to Connie and Tony, this was a recognition of some form of good in them, and that they must release what was once locked away to possible fight something that is coming. If we go and open the box it could open, not just psychic powers, but many other things as well. The sooner we open it the more time we have to get ready and train people with gifts. We are no longer hunting supernatural things, but helping them and training them to hone their gifts.
Plan: Go to Egypt, find box, Do more research. Connie spoke of a vision she had with a 3 eyed symbol. Carter combs the dark webs to see if he can get any information on it…nothing. Mina called scooter and emailed him the symbol. Scooter is perplexed and a bit freaked. He suggests going to visit Bobbie Singer and hunter who used to run with Rufus in Sioux Falls North Dakota.
The group heads off to Sioux Falls. Once arrived at Bobbie’s Mina, Cal, and Connie go in to talk things over. Bobbie lives in a salvage yard and is doing some metal work around back when they arrive. Bobbie brings them inside and directly pores shots…lots of shots. They discuss the symbols while Bobbie combs through some very old very large books. He finds one, in another language, that mentions the reclamation of the third eye in 550 AD. It is a collection of stories by a survivor of an attack who overheard a conversation. He reported something needing to get back to the main source, and blue light. Bobbie provided us with a copy of the stories so Carter can analyze them further. Bobbie reports that he also did a internet search on the symbol and came up with nothing. Cal tells Bobbie about the story of the blue light and how all the psychic powers were flying towards a sarcophagus, the djinn and the amulets. Bobbie will keep in touch with the group if he find any other information.
Part 2: To Egypt We Go
The group was able to acquire 7 passes on a passenger/cargo ship to Alexandria; they were able to bribe the crew to not search the bags. This was very fortunate considering the guns and ammo they brought with them. A plus was that Captain of the ship was a very funny guy, maybe gay and hitting on Cal. After setting sail they analyzed the second amulet. They popped off the back of the amulet to look through it and found nothing, but Tony was still wearing the item. He took it off and they found a dot when placing one amulet over the other the dot pinpointed a location on the map of the other amulet.
Arriving in Alexandria the team rented a couple of jeeps and equipment, especially hot weather gear. They have 2 guides that take them out to a deserted area in the middle of nowhere. They unload the jeeps and set up camp. The drivers leave on jeep for the group in case of emergency and leaving in the other and will return in the morning. Once alone the group starts exploring. Connie started walking around to get a feel for the place. Suddenly, Tony feels the amulet vibrate and the sand below him starts to swirl and shake. The ground below him disappears and he falls through out of sight of the rest of the group. Gator sees this and jumps down the hole after him. They slide down and hit the floor of a large entrance way. Connie moves towards the opening and her amulet starts vibrating as well. As this happens the sand starts to transform into stairs. The groups traverses the stairs and joins Tony and Gator in the grand entrance way. Once everyone is in the opening above closes them in. The cave illuminates and revels a long hall way with insets carved out. The insets are filled with giant rose quartz statues, looking like guards. Tony and Connie walk down the hallway first and as the pass the statues they begin to glow and move out of their insets. The statues turn and block the path of the rest of the group. Gator tries to continue on and was stopped by the statue. Connie and Tony will have to proceed on alone. As Connie and Tony proceed the have 2 sets of 2 statues in front of them and 2 sets of 2 following behind. The rest of the group is able to follow behind.
All along the walls of the hall ways they see hieroglyphics, but they are like nothing anyone has ever seen in ancient Egypt. The pictures seem to be depicting war scenes and a great battle. In another scene some people are using a box to take away a great gift that was bestowed on the humans from the gods. It was taken away till humans would be worthy of the great gift. At the end of the hall way they see the three eyed symbol. Another chamber is just beyond this and the statues move ahead of Tony and Connie to form what looks to be an honor guard. Tony and Connie walk through. As this happens suddenly an invisible shield forms and blocks the rest of the group from proceeding any further.
Tony and Connie enter a large room the left side of the room has tall gold statues and in the middle of the room is a table with a box on it. When facing the box the hieroglyphics on the other side of the room depicts war. If they look away from the box the hieroglyphics depict peace. Connie decides she needs to try and induce a vision to help decide what they should do next. After some time the vision is not coming so she asks Tony to choke her in hopes that a near death experience will force the vision to come. As this happens the Statues in the hall light up and ready to act. Tony backs off and they see to power back down. Tony and Connie decide to go back and join the group to discuss what they have seen and how they should proceed. The group decides they have to open the box.
Tony and Connie return into the room and take off their amulets and insert them into the box. The amulets begin to reshape and form tentacles that stretch out and form the third eye. They begin to glow. Tony and Connie grasp the lid of the box and open it. BOOM!!! Suddenly a massive energy wave shoots out and the walls start shaking. The gems forming the eyes on the box pop free and roll on the table. Tony and Connie’s noses begin to bleed and they feel dizzy. Connie grabs the gems, they run for the entrance, and just as they reach it they pass out and hit the floor.
The statues move and retrieve the bodies of Tony and Connie as the room starts to crumble in. The group starts running doesn’t he long hallway the statues close behind. Carter trips and is able to tumble out of the way just before a large pillar falls where he landed. More pillars are crumbling and the statues move to hold up the ceiling so the group can escape. A few of the statues get crushed and Cal is able to grab a piece of the rose quarts. The team makes it back to the long hallway leading to the exit. Cal trips and drops his quarts piece. He begins to get buried by the sand that has started swirling to close up the exit. Marcus surges and is able to pull Cal out of the sand. Gator also trips but is able to scurry out of the cavern just in time. The rest of the groups is able to escape as well as Tony and Connie who were carried out by the statues. One safe the statues turned around and reentered the cave just as it closed up. Once out the group discovers that the sonic wave has destroyed all of their camping gear and equipment and the jeep. They decide to wait out the night till the guide comes back with the other jeep. They dig a hole in hopes that it will keep them cool for the rest of the day and warmer at night. A few hours after the escape from the cave Tony and Connie wake up. Carter handcuffs Tony for precautionary reasons, hunger. Connie pulls the gems from her pocket and they are glowing. They no longer have the memory effects as it did when in the amulet.
Connie’s gem has changes color, it alternates from pink to blue to green to while, all swirling together. Tony’s gem changes from Pink to blue to green to red. Very cool! The night is cold; Cal drugs Gator to shut him the fuck up. Connie suddenly takes a gasp of breath and realizes she has forgotten to breath! She puts down her gem and gasps for air, she picks it backup and she no longer needs to breathe. Tony realizes that he has not been craving human flesh and he is not thirsty, even after so many hours in the middle of the desert. Carter takes Tony’s gem and he immediately comes after him with a ravenous hunger. Carter quickly gives the gem back and they decide that they need to implant the gem into Tony for the safety of all. They also learn that Tony has crazy fast healing but is still allergic to sliver. Connie also has fast healing but not nearly as fast as Tony.
The next morning the drivers come back to take the group back to Alexandria and sail back to America. The trip back is tight because there is one Jeep with 8 passengers and a driver. Next stop Scooters….
